Role: Programmer Analyst - Internal Logistics and Lean Solutions Based in Waterloo, Ontario Working as part of a project team doing software development in the Automotive and Consumer Packaged Goods industry, you will be involved in all phases of the software engineering process - from requirements gathering, functional specs and design to software development and system testing to installation at the customer site. Job Duties: Develop and maintain applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analyzing requirements; developing software systems. Responsibilities: - Meet with customers to determine requirements for their processes and projects - Articulate the requirements back to the development team both verbally and written - Assist Sales Team to determine budgetary estimates - Work with Systems Architect to define and implement software components required for the project development
- Provide installation, training and on-site support to customers in coordination with the Project Manager - Document and train on the software both for internal customers, external end-users, and developers To excel in this position, you need to possess: · Post-Secondary education in a technical field (Engineering, Systems Design, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science) · 2-4 years' experience designing, developing and implementing software projects successfully in a manufacturing environment · Practical experience using Visual Studio, Microsoft Office (including Project and Visio). · Knowledge of software design, use of UML tools. · Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Server and Desktop), .Net Frameworks, Web Services, XML, SQL Server, IIS · Experience with and proficient in SQL, C#, C/C++, VB.Net. Java and JavaScript. · Must be familiar with Object Oriented Programming practices · Must have skills in Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio · Willingness to travel. · High commitment to success, ability to multitask within tight deadlines, and a professional demeanor are assumed. |
